Marketing and media sources (i.e. Where did you here about …?) are defined with cut-on and cut-off dates, which will control the choices available on the Advisor Desktop at any given time.
Marketing sources can be created as a single level code - for example, Newspaper or Television, which can be selected on the Advisor Desktop.
Alternatively, a second level can be added – for example, a list of appropriate television channels could be added as sub codes to the Television code.
The Marketing sources defined can be a mixture of single level codes and codes plus sub-codes.
A specialised data collection wrap of Marketing Source can be included, as a stand-alone wrap reason or within a script, to capture a media code or marketing source during a call, or offline data capture. The list of media sources that can be selected from in this wrap are defined on this page.
The Use Marketing Sources option must be checked before marketing sources can be added.
Note: A warning will be issued if an attempt to save the campaign is made when no marketing sources have been created.
Unchecking this option will remove all defined marketing sources. Confirmation will be requested prior to the deletion.
Warning: A warning will be issued if an attempt is made to delete all marketing sources while a Marketing Source data collection screen has been defined, as the data collection screen would appear on the Advisor Desktop without any marketing sources for the advisor to choose from.
