Scheduler Configuration: Advanced Settings.
The 'Advanced Settings' page of the Scheduler program allows you to define values which control advanced functions, display and operation of the Scheduler program.
Note that you'll have to re-start the Scheduler program (that is, exit from the program, and then re-select it from the CallMap Welcome Screen) before any changes to these settings become active.
| • | 'Non-Available' Category Caption: This entry defines the header description to be used throughout the Scheduler system to refer to your 'non-availability' scheduler items such as sickness and holidays. You can change the default entry to one that better suits your own business terminology. |
| • | Show Schedule data up to: Here you can define a number of days to show historical scheduler data. When you first get your Scheduler program, this entry should be set to zero - this will allow the program to initially display all scheduler entries for any users and campaigns. However, once you've used the program for a while, it could have an adverse effect on general performance to require that the system reads all historical scheduler data in order to present your Schedule display. A good setting for this entry would be 14 days - this would display any schedule information up to 2 weeks old, if required. |
| • | New Scheduled Item defaults to: This entry defines the 'time block' scheduling parameters when you add 'New' schedule event(s) for your Advisors using the special Scheduler dialog box, and defines the number of days that the program should attempt to allocate, by default. This is useful for quickly allocating longer scheduling periods to Campaigns, or for entering items such as annual leave into the system. Note that when you're entering several days schedule at once, the program will check each item to be schedule to ensure no duplicate or out-of-hours allocations are made. In the example below, we've set our default to 5 days, so the Scheduler will attempt to allocate an entire working week to this Advisor. |
| • | Search for minimum available Time-Slot: Here you can set the smallest amount of free time that the Scheduler program will find when you select to find the first available free time-slot for scheduling. |
| • | Always Filter Scheduler Data display for selected Advisor: When checked, if you're working in 'Campaign' scheduling mode in the Scheduler program, when you select an Advisor the schedule data display will only show you entries for the Advisor you've selected within your date range selection. When this value isn't checked, the Scheduler data displayed will contain information on items for all Advisors. Note that you can quickly 'toggle' this value on and off in the Scheduler program - setting this value here sets your default for your session. |
