The 'Advisor Settings' page of the Scheduler program allows you to set the default working day parameters for your Advisors. Note that these settings are the default, and are applied to your Advisors where no custom settings have been defined - you can set custom parameters for each Advisor (such as workday start and end, days worked), by clicking on the "Advanced Settings" button on the page.

 

Note that you'll have to re-start the Scheduler program (that is, exit from the program, and then re-select it from the CallMap Welcome Screen) before any changes to these settings become active.

 

Start Time: This is the default workday start-time for your Advisors.

 

End Time: This is the default workday end-time for your Advisors.

 

Hours Per Day: This is the number of hours your Advisor is at work, per day. The field is not editable, and is simple the number of hours between the Advisor's Start and End time.

 

Minus Daily Breaks (Minutes): This entry defined the number of minutes, by default, each one of your Advisors spends on breaks within a working day, and is used in conjunction with the "Hours Per Day" figure to defined the "Default maximum Available Working Day" figure. When you schedule an Advisor's time, you schedule based on the "Hours per Day" that the Advisor is available to you - in other words, you DON'T have to schedule the Advisor's breaks (such as lunch, tea-breaks and the like), these are automatically calculated as a percentage of the Advisor's total time when allocated to a Campaign. For example, using the above figures, if your scheduled your advisor for an entire day working on "Campaign A", then your Advisor would be scheduled for 8 hours (9am till 5pm), they'd have one hour of breaks spread throughout their working day, and 7 hours of time would be allocated (or charged) to "Campaign A".

 

Default Time Allocation Percentage: This entry allows you to set the percentage of the Advisor's time that is allocated when you schedule some work for them. If you set the value at less than 100 percent, this allows you to schedule multiple simultaneous pieces of work (adding up to a total combined percentage value of 100%) for your Advisor. This is useful for custom Advisor time settings, where you might, for example, have a team leader who is also making calls ... in this case you could set their Time allocation Percentage to 50% - as they're only spending half of their time making calls, yet you want to schedule them to Campaign work in default time blocks. This allows you to let the Scheduler program take care of the actual time calculations, when allocating this type of resource to Campaign work.

 

Days: These represent your default working week. Check or un-check a day to select of de-select it from your Advisors' standard working week.

 

Advanced Settings: This button allows you to set individual, custom settings, which are different from the defaults here, for each of your Advisors, if required.
