Scheduler Configuration: Calendar Settings.
The 'Calendar Settings' page of the Scheduler program is the first page that will be displayed when you select to edit the program 'Options'. This page contains the default settings for the calendar-based schedule displays. Although the defaults supplied with the Scheduler are standard options, you may wish to change them to suit your particular business requirements.
Note that you'll have to re-start the Scheduler program (that is, exit from the program, and then re-select it from the CallMap Welcome Screen) before any changes to these settings become active.
| • | Working Week: Here you can specify the days of the week that your call-centre works (and the days you may wish to schedule time to your Advisors). To select a day that you work, make sure that it's checked. |
| • | This entry defines which day of the week your calendar display starts on (and which is the first working day of your week). |
| • | Your Scheduler Calendar view operates in 4 modes; these are Month View (where the current month is displayed), Week View (where the entire 7 days of the week are displayed), Work Week View (where the days you've defined as your working week are displayed), and Day View (where only the selected day is visible). In order to achieve the best combination of visibility and ease-of-use, we'd recommend leaving this entry as 'Work Week View' (Note that you can quickly change your view in the Scheduler program). |
| • | This entry sets how the Schedule view is displayed, and how many 'time-slots' are visible in one day. Select the entry that suites your requirements from the drop=-down list. |
| • | This is the default time your company starts work. Note that you are able to make schedule entries before this time, but you'll need to have the "Allow Prompt for Addition of out-of-hours and duplicate Schedule Events" box checked to allow this. |
| • | This is the default time your company ends work. Note that you are able to make schedule entries after this time, but you'll need to have the "Allow Prompt for Addition of out-of-hours and duplicate Schedule Events" box checked to allow this. |
| • | Allow Prompt for Addition of out-of-hours and duplicate Schedule EventsThis checkbox allows you to select whether the Scheduler program will allow you to make entries outwith the standard (or custom) hours you've defined for your Company, Campaign or Advisor. If this box is not checked, the program will not allow these entries - if the box is checked, you'll be prompted to confirm if you wish to add any out-of-hours entries into the Schedule system. This entry would also allow you to add duplicate and 'over-schedule' events to your system, so should be used with care. |
