Introduction

The Workflow Management Console provides a single-point interface for the creation and maintenance of new and existing jobs. You can easily create processes which automate your business – auto-import and verify data files, and e-mail exception reports to the relevant people; collate statistics, run a report, compress and encrypt the file, and e-mail it to your clients with a specialised mail message. Any job can contain up to 999 linked steps, each of which can be either a Microsoft SQL Server® Data Transformation package, any executable program, one or more SQL statements, one or more System Batch commands, or a CallMap report. You can set parameters for each step as required (or use predefined system variables such as auto batch-numbering, and date stamping) - each step also supports detailed file import, export and e-mail options.
